Strength is Everything..
My husband was declared incapacitated at 42 years old. It completely devasted me. He wasn’t expected to live past 48 hours. But, God.
As my role evolved from a devoted and supportive wife to an advocate and caretaker wife, my dependence on God for strength was and is vital.
My husband and I never had kids. For 20 years, our devotion to God, each other, and our careers were not too labor-intensive. We were free to do anything we wanted. We came and went as we pleased. And we loved it!
Now, we did suffer from life’s trials like anyone else. But I will tell you, the strength required to do so then does not compare to the strength needed to complete the assignment we’re currently in.
As younger people, we take strength for granted, but strength is our most valuable commodity. Without it, we can’t do anything!
You can’t roll over to hit the snooze button on your alarm without strength. You can’t get out of bed to make money.
Without strength, you can’t be there for your family or yourself.
