I like your approach! Especially from the 1 Corinthians 9 perspective. I think we tend to forget about this one. It's engaging people at the point of their need, acknowledging that, and then introducing them to God's ways and perspective for their issues. One of my favorite exchanges is the woman at the well in John 4:5-30. It's a perfect example. People want to know that we first care about the things that weigh them down or their day-to-day struggles. We need wisdom and creativity in these areas.
