Perfect Endurance..
If you are anything like me, just hearing the word endurance, makes you tired.
Endurance is work on every level.
I can recall when I use to train for long distance runs. I hated them! I couldn’t help but focus on every pain my body was experiencing.
In school I competed as a sprinter. Always. Fast and quick was my jam. Get in, get out, and I did well!
I never understood why anyone wanted to be a long-distance runner. First, I thought it was boring. Second, why would I prolonging my pain?
It wouldn’t be until many years later that I learned the benefits of a long-distance run. You learn so much about your body and your spirit.
This my friends, can carry over into everything you go through.
I feel the hardest things I’ve gone through in life are the things that take the longest to come out of.
Some situations I could have prolonged. But most, I didn’t have much say in how long my “troubles” would last.
Even though I learned to endure, I was always aware of my exits!
This is why commitments are so important. If we don’t commit to something or someone it is a lot easier to abort our mission before it is mature. Notice, I didn’t say complete.
