Don’t Pray and Turn Away..

Do you wonder why some of your prayers seem to go unanswered? Do you feel that sometimes God has forgotten you?

When it comes to answered prayers, I have learned this: One, they don’t have an expiration date on them, and two they are rarely delivered in a straight line(as in, the obvious route).

It’s taken me over 27 years to understand the equation of prayer + faith and the desired result.

First, we must understand that God has a big picture plan that He is working from. All of our answered prayers have to fit into this. God doesn’t always give us what we ask for, or when we want it. Just as your earthly parents did not. They had their reasons, and God has his. It is our job to work within this truth.

When we pray, we should believe what we pray, and then watch for God’s answer. Young Miriam in the book of Exodus chapter 2 understood this.

Miriam’s mother wanted to save her infant son Moses from a death decree given by Pharoah, the king of Egypt. All male Hebrew infants were ordered to be killed at birth. The Hebrews were growing fast in number, and strength. The king wanted to stop future threats of retaliation from the people they enslaved, read in Exodus 1 about this.
