Worried, or Concerned?
Do you know the difference?
I must admit I get them mixed up sometimes. But I have recently come to understand that one controls you, and you control the other.
When we feel secure and on top of things worry seems to take a backseat, because we think we have everything figured out, and under control.
However, the moment we don’t have any idea how something is going to work out, or what “we” are going to do. Worry will consume us.
When worry sets in and take control of me, it is a clear sign that I have not been spending enough time with God.
Reading God’s word brings the believer security. His words are a constant reminder of who’s responsibility it is to provide. God is our source.
Now, if you have a hard time letting God do his job, then you’re going to make it hard on yourself.
Matthew 6:33 reminds us that if we just seek after Him everything else will be added.
When I focus on God, then I am more focused. When I dwell on my hardships then I am scattered in my attempts at peace and security.
We were never created to be self sufficient apart from God, it may appear to be working, until it isn’t.
Don’t let worry control you, keep your focus on the Provider.
